  • Correlative Relation — A measure or degree of relationship between two variables. A data set can be positively correlated, negatively correlated or not correlated at all. A correlative relationship between two variables does not prove a causal relationship. However, if there is a causal relationship, then by definition they must be correlated even if the related variables are not known – a counterfactual.
